These programs can help children improve self-esteem, self-awareness, self-regulation, confidence, communication, trust and empathy.

For horse crazy kids or those that are simply not sure if they are, the Equine experience introduces children, youth, and even adults to the experience of horse ownership.
In a private 90 minute session, participants will do a horse chore, catch, groom, tack up, ride (arena and trail), and feed their equine partner.

This 90 minutes presents a small picture of what one would be doing daily with a horse of their own.

Horses are, by their very nature, are therapeutic for many children and adults who have special needs. Their presence is calming, and the relationship that can develop is empowering.
It is our desire to see participants, regardless of age or ability, learn more about themselves and their personal and spiritual relationships through time with a horse . Experiential learning is especially helpful for those with barriers to communications and difficulties with emotional regulation. Uniquely created to mirror emotions, having a horse as a teacher lessens demands and lowers stress.

"School of Horse" is more than just a riding program. Participants will be guided through Horse Council of BC's Petite Trot curriculum in a engaging and experiential format.
Kids will learn horse care, grooming, equipment, safety, feeding, and riding.
School of Horse runs for 8 exciting weeks. Check for options in 2025.
